I have an evaluation copy of Critical system protection 5.2 and i tried to apply a prevention policy to my windows 2008 box however i am getting the following message "the IPS policy cannot be applied to windows vista/2008".  My agent servers are able to communicate with the management server and are showing Green for their health.  I picked this product because it is compatible with windows 2008 however i cant apply the policy to my windows 2008 servers.  Any ideas on how to make this work?

I found it!#$  I had to

I found it!#$  I had to install and use a different policy pack in the policy library.  the other policies were on the CD for the trial software.  Im still having issues figuring out how to get those new policys into a different folders in the management console.

Policy Support

Hi there,
The agent in version 5.2.3 supports both windows 2008/Vista, but the built in policy that comes with the installation dosen't support these OS.

You should run live update from the management console to update the policy packs if it is connected to the internet, or you should download them with a management server that is connected to the internet and export/import the packs with the "Authoring Tool".
If you need further info let me know and I will write you a detailed procedure on how to do it.
Regards,
