Current EMC hardware (CX3-40) not yet supported by backupexec?!

I recently spent a few days working through some offhost backup issues (using symantec to take hardware snapshots using microsoft VSS with the symantec AOFO) only to find that symantec only supports EMC CX500 SANs (several years old now,) and only driver version 1.01 - now deemed well and truly obselete by EMC.

The EMC CX3-40, more than 18months old now and very common hardware DOES work with VSS when doing open file backups - but NOT for Offhost. (This is clear from the symantec HCL.)

I am very disappointed that we've purchased a product (AOFO,) that only supports obselete hardware.

When will symantecs HCL be reviewed?

What is the upgrade path for this software?

Nathan,

We have an CX3-40 running on ISCSI and it seems to work with BackupExec.    What problems are you having?
