Current Risks and Current Viruses Clean up

I'm viewing a log of all infected machines for the past year, and would like to better understand how symantec differentiates between Risks/Viruses. Are both bad, or is a RISK a virus that has not been cleaned, where as "current viruses" are the one's that have been detected/deleted quaranteened?

Hi

you are correct , virus is something symantec had detected and acted upon.
risk is something you have to concentrated and take appropratiate action ,say like computer was scanned during the regular scan intervals.if virus was detected an cleaned why its showing up again? something like that...
