    HI,

We are using SEP 11.0 Mr4 MP1a. When we try to do a custom scan for a specific folder/folders, it scan full system.

We are facing the same issue in SAV 10.1.5.5000 also.

    Please check.

better way is to browse the folder itself to be scanned, righ click then choose scan for viruses option.

Please double check on the "What To Scan" Tab when creating or editing a Scan.

We are facing this issue when we do a custom scan for first time. Immediately after stopping the on going custom scan , if we re-do the custom scan process then it will do the scaning correctly.

Hi, I tried creating a custom scan from an XP client. selected the specified folder and then uncheck the memory scanning, loadpoints, etc. And the scan worked as it should.

Are you talking about creating a scheduled/custom scan on the policy or on the client only when creating a custom scan?

Hi, no issues with me sir. After selecting the folders to scan, after pressing the Next button, please uncheck items on scan enhancements, then try.
