Custom Scans

This issue has been solved. See solution.

I have many servers for which I want to perform a custom scan. I cannot create these scans in SEPM because I cannot select specific drive letters/paths. If I create a custom scan on a single server by using its Custom Scan dialog, I can then specify drivers letters and the required path. Here is the question: After creating a custom scan on a server, can that configuration be copied and distributed to other servers so I don't have to manually configure each one with the same custom scan? Will there be a problem if a particular location does not exist on these other servers or would it just be ignored and the scan would continue to the next location?

Thanks!

I don't believe there is a way to copy the scans. For custom scans they would need to bet setup individually.

If a location does not exist, it should just be ignored.

Have you considered scripting the scans using the below doscan function?

This would essentially end up as a batch script you could copy from server to server, making individual adjustments along the way.  After that, just schedule the script as per your requirements and you should be away!

Without an option to export custom scans, this is the simplest method I can think of the "copy" a custom scan from one machine to another (without manually recreating it).  Plus as it's a text file, it is pretty easy to adjust.
