Custom Scripts revert to canned installs

This issue has been solved. See solution.

SMP 7.1 SP 2 MP1

Patch Management | Java

I created a custom .bat file to upgrade Java 7.11  to Java 7.13 - it works fine, but the next day it revert to the canned Java installer (jre-7u13-windows-i586.bat).

I believe it is the "Import Patch Data for Windows" or the "Revise" that is changing my custom settings.

Patch Import settings :

These are checked :

Incremental import

Delete previously downloaded data for vendors, software and languages that are now excluded

Automatically revise Software Update policies after importing patch data

Disable all superseded Software Updates

These are Not checked :

Enable distribution of newly added Software Updates

I was wonder if others have seen this issue or if there is a fix available?

Hi gknudsen,

This is known issue that will be probably fixed in the future releases. Now command lines and updates are revised in case if checkbox "Automatically revise Software Update policies after importing patch data" is enabled - so this is reason of your problem.

Thanks,
Roman
