Don't forget auto update

When customizing the Adobe applications, there are two things that I would bring to your attention:
1. Adobe Reader customisation offers a checkbox which specifies whether a PDF launches Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat (the writer program) if both are installed. Since it is not uncommon for corporates to deploy the latest version of the free reader, but a slightly older version of Acrobat (to avoid costs of updating licences), I would normally recommend setting this parameter to always launch the Reader program.
2. By default, Adobe apps have autoUpdate enabled. For non admin users, the update process will fail due to insufficient access rights, so it is always a good idea to turn off AutoUpdate completely.
Any future updates can then be handled by deployment in the same way as any other application.
