Deployment Solution

    Hi all,

Got a bit of a weird problem which I'm at a loss on as I'm very new to Altiris.  I've created a bog standard x86 Windows 7 image which I want to capture an image from.  I've installed dagent on it and it's talking ok to the server, I've created a Create Disk image job which uses Rdeploy and have put the tick into "Prepare using Sysprep", selected the OS as Windows 7 Enterprise, kept "Use exisiting key" and the automation pre-boot environment is WinPE.

Now, when I hit finish the job runs, reboots the Win 7 machine almost immediately and pulls an image off.  When this is done the machine reboots back into Windows and the dagent will not talk to the server, console shows it as offline.  Even installing and uninstalling the agent makes no difference.

Problem is the same is true of any computer I push the captured image to.  Seems to work fine except the dagent will not play ball at all!!

Am I missing a trick here?  I have no unattend.xml or anything like that on the computer as our Altiris admin has configured that all on the server for the deploy jobs, it really is a very basic image.

Any help before I lose the last of my sanity is very much appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Luke

Can you inform us on your Altiris environment?

    DS6.x, 7.0, 7.1 or beta 7.1SP1?
