  • 1.  DAgent vs AClient in DS 6.9 SP1

    Can someone explain the difference(s) between the DS 6.9 AClient (v 6.9.366) and the DAgent?  I know that the DAgent is intended for Vista, but should it be pushed to all machines now that I've upgraded to DS 6.9 from 6.8?  I see that I can't password protect or hide the tray icon...which would be an issue.  Any recommendations?

    I have heard there are some better enhancements with the DAgent, but because of the inability to hide it, or even password protect it, we have decided to stick with the AClient.  That would be my suggestion at least.  With the way we use the DS there is no reason for our users to really know the client is on there.

    I would stay with AClient unless you are foreced to use it, like with Vista. At this point AClient is much more stable than DAgent.
