Hello,

I'm having an issue I can't figure out here. I moved my core server into a DMZ and now it can't find the remote servers. My co-workers and I are a little perplexed here. The error message we get is as follows:

"Error category: Resource Errors
Error: e000846b - The resource could not be backed up because an error occurred while connecting to the Backup Exec for Windows Servers Remote Agent.
Make sure that the correct version of the Remote Agent is installed and running on the target computer."

And before anyone asks the obvious question, yes we do have the correct version of the Remote Agent installed.

So yeah, basically our core server can't talk to our remote servers.

FYI - we're running 11d

Thanks.

firewall?

if you're now on DMZ there is a firewall between the BE server and the remote agents
the default is port 10000, this is how to change the number
and I can't but asking: why would you move the BE server with all the company data to a less secure environmet???
