  • 1.  Daily scans randomly get stuck, no way to stop them

    We do quick scans on our servers once a day, about 4 or 5 times a month a scan on some server will hang and none will run until we reboot the server. We can occasionally kill the process running the scan but that seldom works. Running the latest version of SEP but it's been happening with all versions. Happens across two different sites.

     

    Would be fantastic if Symantec could fine a way to fix it or at least let use stop the hung process.

    You may want to enable VPDebugging to see what is going on. Also, what is the exact version this is occurring on?

    Sorry, totally forgot about this post until today when a scan got stuck on a server. It happens in all versions of 12.1. We're currently on 12.1.6 MP5 and it's been happening as long as we've had 12.1. We can go months without it happening but when it does happen only a reboot will fix the issue.
