Dan, BE 11d HF11 Does Not Fix GRT Restore Issues
Dan, I've just completed the install of BE 11d Hotfix 11 to my Media Servers and all of my servers that are running the BE Windows Remote Agent. I did not use Live Update to perform these installs. I manually downloaded the 32-bit versions and installed. I did fully reboot all of my servers. For the install of the BE Remote Agent for Windows, I did a manuall install using setupaa.cmd as per the readme. Following the install of HF11 and reboots, I did perform a full B2D job of my Exchange 2003 SP2 Information Store. This job completed 100% successfully with no errors of approx. 30GB of data. After the backup job, I did delete a few messages from my Administrator mailbox and then attempt a no-loss restore of these few items using the BE 11d Exchange agent. As before HF11, the restores complete 100% successfully, but when you open the restored messages, they are blank. I have the header and the Subject line. Nothing else. I did also attempt a few other manual restores and redirections to see if the behavior was the same. It was!
My BE 11d environment is FULLY updated and there's not another Symantec patch that can be installed from what's available.
Bottom line: HF11 did nothing for me!

I have the same problem still. No duplicating to tape, and restore only works to Backup Services email box, and only message headers (no body).

The restore for mailbox is not finctional when you backup to DISK.
It is necessary to backup directly on tape
The application sais that you should backup to disk and then duplicate to tape(!).
