Threats like this (and variants of known threats) are discovered very often- I recommend that you ensure that your Symantec Mobile Security client receives new definitions daily and scans for threats daily. If you manage the Androids in your corporate environment, I recommend setting the policy so that these updates and scans occur that frequently.
