The data could not be loaded

This issue has been solved. See solution.
I am trying to turn on an existing task in NS 7 SP2. Every time I try to edit the existing applied to group I receive "The data could not be loaded" error message. I am able to add a new group without any errors. Would anyone know how to resolve this issue?
I have tried this for different task such as: Out of Band Task Agent Install, Power Scheme Agent Install, and others.

OutOfMemoryException
I'm just curious if you might also be getting OutOfMemoryException errors in the Altiris Log Viewer, and in the Windows Event Viewer. When experiencing the problem posted at https://kb.altiris.com/article.asp?article=48036&p=1 I would see this same problem a lot. Right now I'm running a scheduled task on my SQL Server that reboots my NS and truncates the table mentioned in this article every day. It's gotten to the point that I have to do this daily because I'll get the errors after my NS has been running for 24 hours.

The reason that this isn't
The reason that this isn't working for you with those specific targets is that they are read-only. You'd see that in the Altiris Log Viewer when you tried to edit them. The only solution there is to remove those targets and build new ones.
Unfortunately, that doesn't explain why I still get "the data cannot be loaded" occasionally when editing other targets that are certainly not read-only. And usually my changes will get applied, so that message seems mostly UI-related.
