Data Loss Prevention

  I realize you can not schedule discovery scans (i.e.  you have to manually start each one).  I was wondering if anyone has found a solution around this since we like to run our scan late night/ealry morning (2am) and I don't like having to wake up every week to run the scans.  Is there any API/tool like it autoitscript, etc. that people might have tried to use to scheul this?

We can schedule and pause Network Discover scans. But we cannot schedule Endpoint Discover scans. One of the major reason is that the endpoint discover scan is not performed by the Endpoint Server but the Endpoint Agent. Endpoint server just act as a mediator and provides updates to the Enforce.

An endpoint scan finishes when all the agent finishes the scan. Also you cannot pause endpoint scans. Please let me know if you have any further quarries.

I understand that, but I still want to Push the scan to the client on a schedule.

At this point it is not possible.

There is not auto scheduling of scans and it is manual. I find it better as if the scanning starts automatically, my PC works a bit slow. 

Endpoint scans are not scheduled because they may be shut down anytime by end users. Laptop users may carry their laptops home and even many desktop users shut down/hibernate their systems prior to leaving for the day.

This works best in the default automatic manner since the throttling settings ensure that there is no/negligible performance impact.
