  • 1.  Database error during upgrade to last SEP Manager 12.1.4

    During the upgrade to last 12.1.4 on a Windows Server 2003 machine, I receive this database error:

    Symantec erroe.png

    Any idea on how to solve the issue?

    Hi Brian.

    You can't see the screenshot?

    It is in italian.

    The error message is: "Error during the preparation of the database - Impossible to connect to the database".

    If I look in to the Windows services, I can see that the "Integrated Database" service is installed and running without errors.

    No I can see it just can't read Italian :)

    Is this a fresh install? Or..?

    No, isn't fresh install.

    Is an upgrade from 11.x

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

    Could you share the existing SEP 11.x verison and verison details of 12.1 where you wish to upgrade.

    It's Embedded databse or SQL database?

    Avaialble free disk space on the SEPM installed drive?

    Did second attempt to upgrade the SEPM? Getting same error? Tried to run upgrade.bat file? location of upgrade.bat file: <local drive>\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\bin\upgrade.bat
