I am planning implement security software to my new server farm. SEP 11 are running in my earlier servers to provide anti-virus services. Here is my question:

    1. Is the DCS could totally replace SEP in servers to provide anti-virus services? I don't want to increase my cost.

    2. if yes, how would it protect the most update security risk without updating and downloading the signatures?

    Many thanks.

DCS will increase your cost for one thing, by quite a bit.  DCS is NOT an anti virus product.  It must never be thought of as one.  There is the agentless AV for VMWare, but you must have the VMWare NSX appliance in order for that to work.

It protects against unknown threats by you defining in the policy what is allowed.  Everything else is assumed not to be allowed.
