So basically I am trying to setup a trialware environment in my laptop.

I deploy the OVA in vmware workstation and in a vsphere client but I am unable to see the Properties pane where you configure user/IP address.

Has anybody deployed the trialware version succesfully? if so what was the process?

    Nobody?

I need a very basic deployment, nothing in production, just to run demonstrations/trainings...

The guide mentions that it can be done in under 1 hr but does not explain the process.

UMC that's included in 6.6.0b bundle is configured by opening up the console to the virtual machine you deployed UMC to, setting the new password, changing to the root user, then running the configure command.

    Full details:

    Configure the UMC appliance

1 Connect to the command prompt on the UMC appliance as dcsadmin user.

2 Enter the password for the dcsadmin user. The default password is dcsadmin. You are prompted to reset the password. Enter the new password. Deploying and configuring UMC 6 Deploying the Unified Management Console in VMware vSphere client
