I hope somebody can help me...
The solution I am using is quite primitive, but so is the company I work for, and this solution has worked for a long time and has always been pretty reliable, up until this problem.
The kit I am using for this example...
-
Laptop - HP Probook 450 G2
-
Symantec Ghost 11.5 boot disk
-
500GB external usb hard drive
The external hard drive I has ghost images for different machines on it which were created using this same solution. I created an image for the Probook 450 G2, which is on the external drive. So, I boot another Probook 450 G2, from the ghost disk, and chose the "From Image" option to put this image onto the machine, but an error appears saying...
QUESTION: (1808)
DECOMPRESSION ERROR. ABORT?
YES NO
If I click YES, another error message appears saying...
APPLICATION ERROR 19225
GHOST HAS DETECTED CORRUPTION IN THE IMAGE FILE. PLEASE PERORM AN INTEGRITY CHECK ON THE IMAGE.
When I run an integrity check on the image, the exact same messages appear in the same order.
I have used this solution for years, on many different models of desktops and laptops.
Can anybody please help??
