I hope somebody can help me...

The solution I am using is quite primitive, but so is the company I work for, and this solution has worked for a long time and has always been pretty reliable, up until this problem.

The kit I am using for this example...

    • Laptop - HP Probook 450 G2

    • Symantec Ghost 11.5 boot disk

    • 500GB external usb hard drive

The external hard drive I has ghost images for different machines on it which were created using this same solution. I created an image for the Probook 450 G2, which is on the external drive. So, I boot another Probook 450 G2, from the ghost disk, and chose the "From Image" option to put this image onto the machine, but an error appears saying...

    QUESTION: (1808)

    DECOMPRESSION ERROR. ABORT?

    YES      NO

If I click YES, another error message appears saying...

    APPLICATION ERROR 19225

GHOST HAS DETECTED CORRUPTION IN THE IMAGE FILE. PLEASE PERORM AN INTEGRITY CHECK ON THE IMAGE.

When I run an integrity check on the image, the exact same messages appear in the same order.

I have used this solution for years, on many different models of desktops and laptops.

    Can anybody please help??

Does your solution work on a different machine?  We need to establish whether the image is OK or not.

Are you trying to run from a USB-3 port without the necessary drivers installed in WinPE?  Use a USB-2 port.

Do you have the correct SATA drivers for your new machine. If not, that could also be the problem as the local hard disk will not be accessible so the image cannot be decompressed.
