    Greetings all,
     
    When doing a default configuration refresh, clients do not pull what OU they reside in.  Supposedly they are supposed to.  To make matters worse, if I specify an OU and then do a config refresh, my OU setting gets wiped out.
     
    Has anyone experienced this?

    I've answered the question as to why: disparate dns zones for DCs vs our clients.  For example, our DCs live in xxx.yyy.zzz, while our clients live in x.yyy.zzz.  Changing the client to have the xxx.yyy.zzz DNS suffix, caused the ghost console to pull the OU fine.
     
    So the question is, since we can't change our clients to live in the same DNS zone as our DCs, is there a workaround or will there have to be a fix?  Anyone else run into this?
