  • 1.  Default Organization View and Resource Security

    Is this Technote accurate?  I may be misunderstanding, but it states that all roles have full access to all resources by default.

    That is not my experience at all.

    I checked a few servers I have at hand and while some of the built-in roles do have full permissions on that view, others do not. For example, the Symantec Software Librarian and Barcode User roles seem to have Read access only. CMDB Managers and Asset Managers have just Read, Write and Create Children permissions.

    Imported roles do not have any access to that organizational view by default.

    Thanks!  I didn't think it was the case.  The doc should probably be corrected to avoid confusion.
