    I have computers that do not connect to our network but only the Internet.

     

    I need to ensure that they will update their definitions from the Symantec site.

     

    What is the best way to do this?

    If the machines are unmanaged which is by default when you install SEP from the installation CD, then they would automatically get their updates from the LiveUpdate site.

    If they are managed, then you can set up a location-based policy to allow them to get their updates from the LiveUpdate site.
