how to clear the unusable defintion from server, so that more space will be created on server?

Is this for the SEPM or a SEP client on a server?

Also, what version of SEP?

By default SEP 11.x keeps 3 revisions, while SEP 12.1 will only keep one. Some additional KB articles here:
