When we distribute multiple Microsoft patches, users are seeing Windows Restart Notification after the first install (for updates that requires restart). Even when active install running. This breaks any active install and causes multiple restart.

Is there a way to delay Windows Restart Notification so that it prompts when all task are done or when there are no active install running?

Is the restart notification actually coming from the Altiris agent or do you also have Windows Update policy configured?

Check for a GPO configured to set Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > "Re-prompt for restart with scheduled installations".  You'll want this to be set to disabled.

Windows Update > "Re-prompt for restart with scheduled installations" is set to "Not configured" which is disabled.

To clarify, we want Windows to prompt users to restart computer when there are no active PM install.

Is this a message coming from the Altiris agent?

If so, those settings can be controlled in the Software Update Plug-In Policy.

It's a Windows prompt NOT Altiris

Then it's a policy configured on your computers.  Either through AD Group Policy or Local Group Policy on the computer.
