hello everyone,

I have a question is there a job one can create to delete inactive computers when they are no longer part of our domain? I have noticed that when we replace a computer we still have record of both machines

is there automated task that would purge the old record and delete it from coming when i do a search on how many computers I have.

Yes

Take a look at the NS Configuration Tab > Server Settings > Notification Server Settings > Purginging Maintenance

There is a built in method named "Purge managed computer reporting to this NS, which have not reported data for X timeframe. By default this policy is turned off.

If you are using Asset, it is STRONGLY recommended you set this option to Retire - not delete.
