Delete Retention Cateogry

Is there any way to delete a retention category other than by removing from the SQL database? The retention category was created as a test and never applied. I was expecting just to be able to delete it through the admin console.

Thanks

Quick Look Solution

Not through the gui, you can hide it:

Hide this category from users: Select this to prevent users using this category when archiving new items. The category is still available to users when they are searching for items that have already been archived.

Note: Enterprise Vault does not allow the Site default Retention Category to be hidden from users. If you hide the Site default Retention Category, Enterprise Vault automatically chooses another Retention Category and makes it the Site default.

Hey all,
Be very careful when hiding retention categories. I found a bug wherein if you hide the business retention category, it blows away the retention categories id # in SQL, causing all sortsa problems even if you don't use it.
