Hi,

i'm new to CC and need some help.

i created an explorer using halagentcfg and then later on deleted it. when i do a list-explorer command it doesnt show up but when using the web interface it is still there.

also is there a way for me to check how much storage space is used by 5000 users? the built in report limits me to top 100.

thanks in advance.

Deleting an Explorer that was created with halagentcfg command

Hello Dany,

Here is the process to delete the explorer from the GUI.  Also in the Administrators guide starting on page 137 are the details on how to modify the policy to return the storage space used by the top 5000 users. I have also included the link to where you can download the latest documents from the symantec support site.  http://www.symantec.com/business/support/documentation.jsp?language=english&view=manuals&pid=50379

You can delete the explorer using halcmd - here's an example where BrocadeExp was an explorer I defined using halagentcfg

hal-sunf240-7 >./halcmd -A HALCHM
HALCHM@hal-sunf240-7.veritas.com[] agent.
HALCHM@hal-sunf240-7.veritas.com[agent] ?
{disable-agent | da}
{enable-agent | ea}
{refresh-agent | ra}
{drop-agent}
{refresh-host | rh}
{drop-host}
{query-agent-locator | qal}
Use '? command' to obtain more information on a command.
HALCHM@hal-sunf240-7.veritas.com[agent] drop-agent
[E] V-86-5-999 Command 'drop-agent' failed
[I] V-86-5-999 {drop-agent} agent_id
Drop an agent record from the database.

HALCHM@hal-sunf240-7.veritas.com[agent] drop-agent BrocadeExp@hal-sunf240-7.veritas.com
command = IDL:Veritas/HAL/CHM/AgentManagement_1_0:1.0::drop-agent
return = (ulonglong) 0
HALCHM@hal-sunf240-7.veritas.com[agent]

Please let em know if you have any questions or need help with the above process.  Thanks!

Tony

Dany, We do report on files

Dany,

We do report on files and folders that reside on Arrays.  This allows you to decide if that content is on the correct level of storage.  Let me know if you still have questions.

Thanks,

Tony
