deleting old files from the I2_LDVP.VDB directory on the Symantec AV server machine...

  • 1.  deleting old files from the I2_LDVP.VDB directory on the Symantec AV server machine...

Our Symantec AV server is running very low on disk space on drive C. THe C: partition is a 10gb partition. I have cleaned up as much as I can on this machine without completely reformatting and reconfiguring the C: partition. I have two questions...

    1) Can I move the SAV directory over to the D: drive instead?

    2) If #1 is not possible, what files can I remove on a regular basis from the I2_LDVP.vdb directory, that will not cause a failure to update the clients  being managed by this server? THere are many very large files there that have older dates that I winder if I can remove without worry...

    Thanks, Brad

    Hi,

Do you have subfolders under I2_LDVP.vbd folder? What is the size of that folder? What are the oldest file dates found there?

Have you already changed %temp% and %tmp% to another drive? Have you moved virtual memory to another drive?
