Dell Deployments For Altiris - Dell PowerEdge R710's

Deployment Solution for Dell Servers supports retrieving Pnp and mass storage drivers from DSA CD's before v5.5, or alternatively it can import any driver from any arbitrary source via the "Add from other source" button.

Step 1: Locate the correct driver on support.dell.com and download it.  Extract it if neccessary from the exe or zip file.  You should have an .inf, .sys file.  If it is a mass storage driver, it should also have a txtsetup.oem file.

Step 2: Open the Dell Configuration Utility from the DS Console by going to Tools->Dell Tools->Configuration Utility.  Navigate to the OS Deployment Tab, click "Add".  You should see two drop downs above the "Add from other source" button.  Set them to the correct OS version the driver supports, and indicate whether this is a PnP or mass storage driver.  Then click "Add from other source" and browse to the driver.

Step 3: Run your Dell Scripted OS install, either one that was created automatically when you created the OS configuration, or create one using the Job Builder (Tools->Dell Tools->Job Builder).

I did what was described above, the only problem im having is that it is not intergrating the driver, Once the server is built, i have to manually search for the drivers for this server, is there anyway this can be intergrated into the o/s that is to be deployed, im using the scripted deployment.

The other problem is the R710 is listed in the configuration wizard but will not accept the DSA DVD to intergrate drivers, can anyone help with this?
