  • 1.  Deploy Anywhere "exception caught" error in Windows 7

    Posted Jan 29, 2010 07:01 AM

    Hi,

I have problem with Deploy Anywhere. I will allways get error "exception caught" when trying to use DA to Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit image.
It works ok to Windows XP

Here what i have already tested.

    1. Tried to replace GhDplyAw3.exe from this version ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/pr...
    2. Modified e1q6032.inf driver file http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/on-technology...

    - its doesnt matter what hardware i try to install Windows 7
    - Using /eval i get same error
    - Its takes over 30 minutes to get that error message. DriverDatabase is about 400MB so its should not take that long to scan all drivers.

    Any suggestions?

    Update did help!

With updated ghDplyAw32.exe i get more information about error
I had corrupted driver on my driverDB folder. Removing that helped.
