I need to be able to install a new image of Windows 7 using Ghost.  Is this possible?

all I can see is to select an existing gho image but I don't have one of those.

    Norton Ghost or Symantec Ghost?

    What version are you using?

You need to have an image to be able to install it - so what am I missing from your posting?

The simple answer is Yes - you can deploy windows 7 images using Ghost, but there are licensing issues you need to consider as well, as Windows 7 will automatically de-activate if deployed on a different machine to the one the image was created on. This is a Microsoft anti piracy measure.

    Symantec Ghost Suite 2.5.1

I have Windows 7 Pro VL disc along with KMS for mass activations.  I come from a SCCM/WDS background where you can do either an existing clone or just point a task to a windows install image disc and it will install windows on the target machine and then apply customizations.  Is that not possible with Ghost?

Ghost is an imaging tool rather than a deployment tool. It has also not had any significant updates for several years due to the dev team being disbanded. If you already know sccm then stick with that product.
