    Hello,

I'm not very familiar with policy management on SEP manager. I need to create a test group populated with some SEP client to test some policy tuning (policies are largely the same). What about creating the test group with inheriting policy and then remove inheriting to tune policy locally (only for the test group) ? Or do I have to recreate policies one by one ?

    Thanks

you can inherit the policy and uncheck inheritence to edit the policy to make it non shared and configure as per your needs.

Else you can copy a policy (by copy and paste) on the policy tab and assign the policy to the newly created group for testing.

You can uncheck the inheritance option for individual groups. This allows the group to be independant of other groups and you can assign different policies for only these groups as opposed to others. For those policies that are assigned to groups if you select one, you will have the option to edit it (which will affect the policy for others groups that it is assigned to as well) or you can create a non-shared policy from a copy.

Another possibility is to create a test group (without inheritance) and copy all settings of the source group to the target group:

Right-click on the source group > Copy Policy > Right-click on target group > Paste policy
