For some reason DeployCenter 5.6 hangs when I have 3 SATA devices plugged in at one time (2 hard drives and 1 DVD reader).

DeployCenter 5.6 works just fine with on 2 SATA devices plugged in (1 drive and 1 dvd reader).

Does anyone know why DeployCenter hangs when I plug the 3rd SATA device in and how to fix this problem?

System is just a simple HP Desktop running XP Pro.

    Thanks!
    Nick

    Hi,

It is little hard to guess but one thing I can suggest though - try running Image center and/or pqideploy (same exe but with no UI shell) with /NOCDR switch. This will disable own CDR support but will get you to use two other hard drives. The other option is to run pqideploy.exe with /DBG=debug.log and /ERR=error.log switches. Even though it hangs it still might provide me with some debugging/error information. You can then post it to my email eugene_manko@symantec.com. And the last option of course is to use Ghost instead of DCL tools since it looks like you already have GSS 2.0 :smileyhappy:

    Hi Nick,

Forgot to mention that our dev site is in New Zealand and it is Saturday here. If you can forward the logs to my work email by Monday I'll get on to them then. Until Monday if you have any Ghost related questions you might want me to help you with - please forward those to my personal email eugenem@slingshot.co.nz.
