Deploying DLP Agent on XenDesktop 3.0
Hi,
Has anyone got any experience deploying DLP 11.1 on XenDesktop 3.0. The agent was installed successfully on the XenDesktop master image, using XenConvert, the image was converted to VHD file. Citrix client loads the VHD file upon boot.
When the Citrix client boots (using the VHD image), the edpa.exe process crashes and cannot be started. If we removed and reinstalled the agent on the citrix client, it works.
But the problem with this is that when the client reboots, all config are erased and the image (VHD file) is reloaded...back to square 1, the agent crashes.
I'm guessing is something to do with the SID or some hardwareID in the registry. When the citrix boots, it gets a different identifier that may cause the DLP agent to crash, this is just a hunch...
Can anyone share his experience with this type of deployment or you have a suggestion / workaround / solution, I'd appreciate.
Thanks
Yves

The DLP agent can work properly under the XenDesktop environment. The XenDesktop is officially supported.
Suggest to open the debug log of the DLP agent to record the log for trouble shooting.
It seems there's no solution to this issue from Symantec. It claim DLP agent Citrix golden image deployment isnt supported.
I found a workaround by using a windows startup script that installed DLP each the thinclient boots up. This works great.
