    Is it possible to install End Point Protection to Windows 7 Starter. Whenever I attempt to install from the manager console to laptops running this OS it fails. I have turned off the firewall and checked for other antivirus or programs that may block the deployment and have found nothing.  Any ideas or known compatability issues?

    You can follow this document ,  first install LU and then install SEP

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/windows-7-profession-1105-wont-install-rolls-back

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/endpoint-wont-install-fresh-install-windows-7

    Find

    HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\AppData
    value=%APPDATA%

    and change it to

    HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\AppData
    value=%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming

    Install SEP client again.

    You can find the full details in this article:

    Hello,

    Please check the version before you install.

    We recommend you to always install the Latest version 11.0.6200 (RU6MP2).

    You could get the latest version from https://fileconnect.symantec.com
