We are using Client Management Suite to manage our computers

Until now, we were doing the deployments with tasks managed from the Altiris console.

Now, we want to see if it could be possible for each user decides to redeploy your PC, first selecting boot the computer from the LAN, and then selecting a task defined on the Notification Server, similiar as done with unknown computers

Does anyone know if this is possible?

    Thanks,

Having a boot menu available for known computers is something that's been promised with version 7.5.  7.5 was delayed due to bugs found until Spring, unfortunately.

I'm not sure it was delayed for bugs, necessarily, as though it were unworkable.  In fact, I have been playing with the 7.5 beta and the DS, Mac, and internet-based features for a few months.  Rather, it's an attempt by Symantec to put out a high-quality product on the first release, vs. a "something is better than nothing" release (my words) that requires immediate hotfixes to fix serious issues.

    Gergarbon,

In order to display such a menu for redeployment (computers already known to the NS or managed by the NS), you will need to upgrade to version 7.5, which is estimated to be released in the 1st half of 2013.  This version will include a Re-Deployment Menu for managed computers.  You can add a list of jobs to displayed to a managed computer that boots to PXE when no other jobs are already assigned to it.  You can run the default job right away, wait forever until the user selects, run the default job after n seconds, or shutdown the computer after n seconds.

This same four behavior types will also apply to the Initial Deployment menu for unknown computers.
