Hi Everyone,

I have Symantec Endpoint protection 11 management installed on the server and am looking to install symantec endpoint protection on workstations on the network. These workstations have Altiris Client Service already running.

My question is Can SEP be installed on the client workstations using Altiris Deployment solution? Would deploying setup.exe configure SEP antivirus on the client workstations.

Thanks!!

I've done it

I just finished pushing out to about 3,000 clients using Altiris.  We don't have the integrated component installed though.  Basically I exported a package using the SEPM to get the settings.  I gave it to our package handler who created a package in Altiris and off we went.

I'd say we had about a 95% first time success rate.

95% first time success rate came probably as there would be some computers which are turned off.
