Deploying SEP SBE 12.0 as Part of a Drive Image

Created: 07 May 2011 | 2 comments

I'm presently recreating our master reference image we use to image computers in our organization (imaged using WDS) and I'm wondering how I can deploy SEP SBE 12.0 as part of this drive image. I've tried searching around for this documentation but I'm only finding out of date documents that apply to older versions of SEP.

Anyone have a Best Practices document or instructions on what I need to do to SEP after installing it within the image to ensure that newly imaged/deployed clients automatically connect to the SEP Server correctly?

This procedure is slightly different for SEPSBE than it is for SEP 11 RU5 and newer. SEPSBE is based on SEP 11 RU4 and so this document will be applicable until SEP 12.1 is released.

Thank you - once I deleted the "HardwareID" registry key and sysprep'd the machine, newly imaged machines successfully join our SEP SBE server automatically.
