    Hi there

Have a shared area with software on the ghost server and am trying to throw out remotely. If i log onto a workstation i can log into the share to run the software no problem. When i use the 'distribute software' 'run directly from source' via Altiris, using unc paths and same credentials it comes back with error code '1326' 'The user name or password is incorrect' ????

    Any ideas as im stumped?

    Cheers

    G

    gsheal,

I would assume that the credentials you are passing for some reason are not being recognized by the network share.

As a test... try opening up the network share so that everyone has read/write (temporarily) to see if you can then push the software.

Are you including the domain in the user credentials?  Simple mistake I've made on many occasions.

Windows Server Backup has many restrictions like you must be one of the administrator. Thus I really do not like using it. However, there are many other deploying software that users can use to deploy Windows 10 image to new hard drive, both Windows 7, Windows 8, Windiws XP and Vista.
