This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hello. I am having a go at trying to deploy a SVC layer. I have captured the file and saved it to a network locaiton.  I am a bit puzzled on how to deploy this to multiple computers.

The Symantec workspace virtualisation agent 6.1 sp7 (64 bit) install is on the pc.

I created a quick delivery task (see attached photo)

When I ran it some dos box appeared with a progress bar, when it had finished nothing really happened.

I have attached a screenshot of where I am at, please can someone advise.

Thanks.

When I tested the above process it works, there is some more testing to do around capturing and working with xpf files but for a first attempt all was ok.

Thanks and i hope this helps others.

You'll need to "install" the virtual package; xpf, by

import, activate, set auto active on startup

this can be done with one command-liner

Hello, thanks for the info. I was under the impression that the below command accomplished a auto start.

svscmd i -p "Remedy Client.xpf" "Remedy Client" a auto

The below command should do it (import, activate, "auto-active")

SVSCMD.EXE <Layer ID (RO) of Remedy Client> IMPORT -PATH "Remedy Client.xpf" ACTIVATE AUTO -Y
