Deployment of clients
Updated: 21 May 2010 | 5 comments
Hi all,
I am currently testing Symantec Endpoint Protection, and so far I have just been deploying to machines using the "Find Unmanaged Computers" option. I search for the computer name that I wish to deploy to and then deploy to that computer specifially.
As I do this I realize it will take a very long time to deploy using this method. Is there a way to deploy using active directory, while not using the Manager Console?
Is there a better way at all to deploy to multiple computers at the same time?

Brent, we've found GPO SEP installs to be very efficient and reliable. This series of Articles supplements Symantec's documentation of GPO installs--

You could use the migration
You could use the migration and deployment wizard, for sure you have an inventory of your workstation in your office then if you have this write down all the hostname of your pcs to notepad, it should be one hostname or ip per line then you can push install from the server at the same time
:-)
You need to decide what
You need to decide what options to use while deploying the clients.
Like If you try to install SEP using Altiris, then you need to first deploy Altiris agent and then SEP.
