    We have 450 Deployment Solution 6.9 client licenses and 1 server license and we need to upgrade. What do we need to do? Our admin installed Deployment Solution 7 and I don't think he migrated licenses correctly, if even possible. I'm trying to run some testing and I get 'Deployment Solution 7.1 trial license has expired. I'm in  race against time in gettting a successful sofware package push together and this has slowed this down considerably. Thanks for the input!

    You need to find your NS licenses for Deployment Solution, and your .lic files that worked on 6.9 will not be valid.  If you don't have any idea where to find these, check licensing.symantec.com under Manage My Licenses.

    Information that's handy to have if your licenses aren't here:

    • Sales certificates with Symantec serial numbers (e.g. M48109348321904) on them
    • Customer numbers
    • Order numbers

    You may need to get help from other Altiris administrators or purchasers--whoever has provided license keys in the past or who has processed the order with Symantec/Altiris/vendors for your license renewals.

    If you aren't current on your AUP, you may not be eligible to receive NS-based DS licenses.  If you only have .lic files, you may be in a tough spot.
