Deployment Solution

Deployment Solution 6.9 SP6 has been released.

This article provides a method of downloading this SP for use in your environment. In addition it provides a link to the release notes for SP6, and a link to a general Deployment Solution 6.9 verision to version upgrade process as well as a link to the Microsoft Deployment files necessary to implement the WinPE 4 environment this SP enables.

Thanks, I suppose it will not work on 2003 server, as Microsoft ADK 4.0 is not supporting w2003. Regarding the ADK you must provide the unpackaged installer, not installing the ADK. But care to install DOTNet 4.0 and reboot first, to get an install success chance... :) Feedbacks and lessons learn are welcome.

Not supported on Windows 2003: Except you don't need to support WinPE4 of course. But after install, if need to use PXEconfig with the WinPE2.1, you must manual restore a copy of a previous sp5 install... of the "bootWiz" folder: that's it. :)

If you don't have... Well, any body know a link to download previous version ???

DS6.9 SP6 was released end nov 2013. So why can we not find the Release notes on the Knowledge base under "Release Notes" where it should be !

Why is there no DS6.9 SP6 User Guide?, normal for every release.

Why is there no DS6.9 SP6 Supported Platforms?, normal for every release and very important for this release.

Unfortunately, we do not update the DS 6.9 SP6 user guide for the SP/MP releases anymore as the new features are highlighted in the "What's New" topic of the Release Notes. Please let us know if you want any specific updates.

I see the release notes of DS6.9 SP6 now in the correct place in the knowledge database; thanks.

The supportability matrix you mentioned is for 7.5; has nothing to do with DS6.9 SP6.

I see that the release notes in chapter 'General installation and upgrade information' has been updated; versioning at the beginning of the document would enhance the readability. 

It now states that WinPE 4.0 is incompatible with Windows 2003 as a platform for DS.

However, this is not a replacement for a supportability matrix; for instance, it does not mention if Windows 2012 is supported as platform for DS and/or which SQL versions are supported.
