  • 1.  Deprecated version of the Reporting API

    Posted Aug 20, 2012 01:21 PM

Received Message Code 2424 after upgrading from 11.5.1 to 11.6 using the wizard.  Because there isn't any detail as to how to upgrade the client, I opened a case and being told I need to open a case with Professional Services??? #419-042-710

Any help with this message is appreciated, thanks!!

    Summary -

A deprecated version of the Reporting API is being used.

Detail - A client is using a deprecated version of the Reporting API that will be disabled with v13 of DLP. Please upgrade the client to v2011 of the API, available with DLP v11.6 and later, to avoid future service disruptions.

Have seen that same error on my upgraded systems, even where we're not using the reporting API (which I presume is your case as well).

11.6 has a new API for incident reporting and updating.  They leave the old (deprecated) API in tact in the upgrade in case you happen to be using it, so you don't break any applications built on that API.  So the event (2424) is really just reminding you of that.  If you're not using the API, then I'd just ignore the event.

Based on that message, when you eventually go to V13, you will need to update any applications using the API to use the new one beforehand.
