I have been using PGP Desktop 10.2.0 freeware version on Windows 7 (I got it to use as demo and exercises for my students).  Now I want to upgrade to Windows 10 and am told that I need PGP Desktop 10.3.2 MP10.  Since I have been using the (crippled) freeware version, I don't have a license.  How can I continue to use PGP Desktop (crippled) in the same way.  If I do need10.3.2 MP10, where can I get it?

You can get the trialware for the latest version here:
    http://www.symantec.com/products-solutions/trialware/?pcid=pcat_security

Desktop Email Encryption (formerly PGP Desktop) is what you are after.  It sounds odd compared to previous versions, but the whole disk aspect is now covered more by our Endpoint Encryption product, which is designed for enterprise use with a management server setup.  You will have to sign up for an (free) account, but after the trial runs out, it reverts to the unlicensed version, which has limited features (i.e. the same as you are using now).

    I tried Mike's solution but I can't download it.

     I get "

    Access Denied

You don't have permission to access "http://esdownload.symantec.com/CD/MTV/SymantecEncryptionDesktop10.3.2MP7_Windows.zip" on this server.

    Any ideas?

Have you previously used the trialware, or did you sign up for a new SymAccount?

Well, the latest trialware version is 10.3.2 MP7, so those of us using the "freeware" functionality can't upgrade to 10.3.2 MP10.
