I know the usual ones, but does anyone have opions on the following:

vmdk -vmware file
nsf - Lotus database

These are large binary objects that are scanned for Lotus by an email scanner and for vmware inside the actual virtual machine.

i.e. I think I should exclude.

What other type of large files are logical to exclude.

Great, thanks guys.  Is there

Great, thanks guys.  Is there any centralized resource for recommendations for extensions.  Obviously all environments are different but it is worth the ask.
