Device Control Policy to block all USB except printers and camera
Updated: 09 Oct 2010 | 5 comments
Hi,
I want to implement a Device Control to block all USB devices. However my printers are USB connected. So how do I exclude them from being blocked?
For keyboard and mouse, I know that I can exclude HID class.
What about printers? Is there a class that I can exclude? Or do I need to manually add in the device ID?
What about digital cameras?

I got alot of printers in my company. Is there a specify printer class that I can exclude instead of adding it one by one?
You can run the dev viewere
You can run the dev viewere on two three systems with the pronter attached to them.
If your printers share a common class ID then you can exclude that Class ID. But of the printers dont have common Class ID then you may have to exclude them by Device ID.
