  • 1.  DHCP and delete automatically the IPs

    Posted May 22, 2008 10:57 AM
    Hi there,

Is there any tool that can erase the IP addresses, reported by the DHCP server, automatically every 5 minutes or less instead manually delete them? If yes, please provide me with any suggestion(s).

The reason is because I have very limited IP addresses (3 IPs per subnet) in our production environment. The issue is that when we want to push an image to multiple PCs , via PXE , we can't because not enough IPs available.

    Thank you
    Carlos

    Hi Carlos,

How many PCs do you have in the subnet?

    Hi Krish,

I have over 100 PCs in each subnet or vlan. Sometimes I want to push the same image file to 10 or 20 PCs at the same time. I wonder if there is any tool or configuration, within DHCP services, to erase the IPs automatically instead me delete them manually.

    Thank you

    Hi Carlos,

I think I got confused when you say 3 IP addresses. Do you mean 3 unused IP addresses per subnet?

Do you run out of IP addresses when booting the machines to DOS?
