Hello,

Has anybody ever set up the DHCP enforcer with any other dhcp server other than Microsoft?

Im trying but cant.

Any help from anyone?

Are you talking about the Integrated or Appliance? If it is the Intrgrated, it will only run on a Microsoft 2003 server. The appliance should work with any DHCP server.

I'm talking about the appliance...I have tried with various free DHCP servers and none of them work.

What I would like to do is use the Microsoft DHCP for good IPs and use a third party DHCP for quarantine, or vice versa.

It works fine with Microsoft but I cant get it working with any other.

I recommend going through the SNAC Control Enforcement Guide step by step.

There must be a configuration or setting that is being overlooked.

This forum (SNAC), does not see a lot of traffic. I suggest you open a case with Symantec support if you want to get the issue resolved quickly.

Don, I have not found any documentation saying this will work with any type of DHCP enforcer. I do know that this product will not be in the next major release of SNAC, meaning EOL is near.

What do you mean when you say you know that this product will not be in the next major release of SNAC? Do you mean the DHCP Enforcer appliance?! Are they doing away with the DHCP enforcer?!?

Correct, that is the word that I am hearing. The DHCP Enforcer is nearing End-of-Life.
