    Hi,

I am trying to boot a VMware machine using PXE boot. I have two Vmware machine. in one VMware machine I have my Altiris DS installed and on the other VMware I am trying to install Linux using PXE boot, but when I open my 2nd machine in which I have to install Linux, it says "it is not getting any response from the DHCP" Error: "PXE-E52: proxyDHCP".

In one of your KB article which is meant for 6.5 says that user should change the DHCP configuration under PXE options to third party DHCP instead of using  Microsoft DHCP. Which is our case, that we are using Microsoft DHCP.

How can we do the same in 7.1 and how can we get any related documents for the same.

    Thanks

    Aditya

You have all 4 SBS services running and DHCP Server: Server Options has 060: PXEClient; than disable the firewall on NS server [or if there is any network firewall than take care of 4011 port in that] and try PXE boot again.

    Thanks.
